Landvetter airport
The Swedish Environmental Court 2008-10-08 decided on a new condition for noise protection measures at Gothenborg-Landvetter Airport. In brief, the condition is that LFV needs to make noise protection measures in residential buildings as well as health centers and schools that outdoors is:
Exposed to aircraft noise level, FBN 60 dBA or more.
Exposed to maximum A-weighted sound levels of
70 dBA or more, at least 150 nights per year with less
than 3 movements per night.
The goal of the noise reduction measures is that equivalent noise does not exceed 30 dBA and the maximum noise level indoors at night does not exceed 45 dBA. About 200 buildings around Göteborg -Landvetter Airport are concerned with the condition and will be inventoried with respect to each building's ability to reduce aircraft noise.
Solution
LFV Flygakustik have estimated aircraft noise level, FBN and maximum noise levels outdoors with an international method approved by the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland. ÅF Ingemansson visits houses for establishing sound insulation properties and areas of windows, doors, walls, ceilings and vents. A drawing of the house is created. Sound levels inside the building is calculated from the estimated noise levels outdoors, sound insulation of constructions and volume and sound absorption properties for each room.
Results
Agreements signed by property owner and building contractor carrying out the noise reduction actions.
